High School

High School: Leading the standard

Cimarron School of Living Education understands that early adolescence is a formative  season in a child’s life. For this reason, our school is a threshold that inspires and guides young people towards an enduring ethos of knowledge, wisdom, and loving-kindness.

Yes, Cimarron offers high school credits and college preparation. However, the aspirations of most students transcend just passing a test or checking boxes. Likewise, Cimarron School of Living Education is committed to this higher standard. We are a place of convergence for students, families, and educators—where deep understanding and lifelong learning flourishes in mutuality.

Cimarron offers more than the typical educational model. Our classes are steeped in an atmosphere where students grow in relationship with ideas and subjects, develop a passion for knowledge, and cultivate communication skills in both oral and written forms.

During their time on our campus, high school students study:
  • Geography
  • American History
  • Composition
  • Spanish
  • Literature
  • Shakespeare
  • Citizenship & Current Events
  • Art Instruction & Art Appreciation
  • Science (Physics for the 2023-2024 school year) & Science Lab
  • Bible
  • Optional: Add-on math courses

In addition to our distinct approach to academic work, the Cimarron culture holds space for the development of meaningful peer relationships. Synchronous to learning, the relationships cultivated at Cimarron inspire students and staff to a higher standard of character and potential through good conversation, outdoor life, and in-class experiences. Within this atmosphere, personal development flourishes.

We invite your teen to partner with the Cimarron faculty and students for an invigorating year of living education.

Note: Our current high school course of study is aimed at 9th-10th grades for the 2023-2024 school year. However, we would consider 11th-12th grade students on a case-by-case basis.
